A new hat

Ok ..it's time to show a new hat. She liked this one ( I think that's Betty Boop ) but not my favorite..I have a favorite which I'll definitely post in the future.  I was thinking about  this blog a lot last night as I watched TV.  I think that I need to direct it toward my REAL passion which I think is youth.  I will define "youth " as between the ages of 12 and 24, how's that? I think that sometimes they get a bad rap because the media is quick to show us the BAD stuff that happens but I have found that there are a lot of kids in that age group that are really great!  Face it, they struggle with growing up.  No longer little kids, but not independent either.  We all have to learn at each stage of life and they are trying to understand what "independence" is and what that is going to mean for them. They are trying to find their own identity and sometimes that can be very confusing with so many different things trying to define them.  Maybe I can use this blog to introduce you to some great youth and share articles about good things young people in that age group are doing.  If you have a story or article you  would like to share, please feel free to do so. If you know someone in that age group that you are proud of and want to share that story, please do.Till next time..Be safe.

    I know a 23 year old who starts teaching school tomorrow! She loves you very much and you are the only one who she has ever made a birthday cake for! Guess who?!!

    Thank you Kathy and you know I love her too. I was just telling two of the youger youth this afternoon about how special she is to me. In fact I plan to talk about the youth in my life, past and present, so I may just tell about Katherine next. Stay tuned and check back from time to time. I love all the Deans and missed you yesterday. Jessee said you were ok but was not sure where you were, limited it to "somewhere", he is so funny, I have my own story to share about that one too. And in case she thinks I am forgetting her, Ashley will have her turn, Deb always said she was my "favorite", but that is definitley not true I don't think), I love them ALL. I have soooo much to write!
